Cabinet Progress!

Remember these?~
How could you forget em' huh! lol

I'm steadily making progress on them.
First I fixed the one with no top and no back by...well, putting on a top and a back! LOL

Then I washed them down with this stuff

It's called TSP and it stand for Tri-sodium Phosphate, which is a fancy word for industrial strength cleaner that will eat your hands up....so wear these!

I also bought some of this-
Particle board

and these trims....curious yet? :)

I first decided I wanted the cabinet off the ground so I built a toe kick like this...
(it's 1 x 4's)

Then  I measured the bottom of the cabinet and made a piece that was the exact size like this...

Those two pieces got screwed together.....with the backs flush.  I made the top piece overhang the toe kick by about 1 1/2".

So right now, the cabinet looks like this.....

Oh, did you notice I turned them upside down....I wanted the knobs to be at the top, not the bottom. :)

I know, I know, it's nothing to stand up and applaud about yet, but I wanted to show you that I am making progress and not just sitting on my tushy.  Actually I haven't been sitting on my tushy at all...my middle son is graduating high school Saturday and we're having him an open house, so I've been cleaning and shopping and cleaning some more! I think any progress I've made on the cabinets so far is a miracle! LOL

Hope you guys have a great day~!
Blessings
Melissa :)
