Hey my bloggin' buddies!
I am so excited to show you the progress
I've made on Carson's built-ins!!
I also have a picture of his room before I started this whole
beautification process! :)
Ready to see his little plain jane room?
Here ya go....
Blah!
Pretty plain.
We really haven't done much to his room since we moved in, close to 4 years ago.
I know, I know....a room just sitting there waiting for help for that long!
But you have to remember that we bought this house after it was repossessed by
the bank and it was a HOT MESS!
We've been working our tushy's off on every room in the house..with even more to go!
Ok, I have the built-ins all screwed into place now..Yay!!
Here is the one on the left of his bed...
and here is the one on the right.....
...and here they are together! :)
You can tell this was before I painted the board and batten.
(Just so ya know, there's so much more I'm doing to this area..
just can't show you everything at once now can I!)
I got the built-ins all up and decided they were too white and needed something...
but what you say?
They needed some color, so I went out and picked out
these three wallpapers to choose from....
(after staring at about 1,000 for what seemed like hours!!)
Of course, you know which one won out don't you??
Yep, the ticking....
ticking ALWAYS wins out!
(I don't know why I even bothered looking at the rest! lol)
Here's a couple of shots of the right hand side
built-in without the paper...
another one...
and here it is with the paper!
Much better!
I still had painting to do in that picture,
but I can tell you the painting is
ALL DONE now and I will
be showing you much more soon!
It's gonna be so stinkin' cute!~
I can't wait to show you more!!
SO STAY TUNED!
If you have any questions so far,
just ask, or shoot me an email!

I really enjoyed reading the posts on your blog. I would like to invite you to come on over to my blog and check it out. God bless, Lloyd
Built ins are so practical and useful.
I’ve enjoyed looking over your blog. I came across it through another blog I follow. I am now a follower of yours as well. Feel free to look over my blog and perhaps become a follower of it if you wish.
Hey Missy, I popped in very late last night but my mind was not coherent enough to leave a comment (at least not one that would have made much sense...lol) Carson's room looks amazing. I would have never thought of putting that ticking behind the shelves, but boy does is it ever take it to the next level. I'm looking around to see where I can do that. Enough of the teasing...I want to see the whole room! Patty
Patty, I'm not teasing...I'm just slow and worn out! LOL :) But I'll be posting it soon!!
:)

Hey Missy...Very cute and I love the ticking for the background! You have done an amazing job! Now I will be anxious to see the completely finished result. It has been too hot to do anything. I have my furniture set up and tables and paints but it is just too hot to go out there! I have out of town company coming over Labor Day so I need to get my rear in gear! Have a great weekend!~xo Patti
Great job Missy. You're super talented with those power tools. Okay, okay I gotta get over my fear of those things which could cut off a finger or something and have fun with them. Can't wait to see the rest.
hugs~ Amanda
Fabulous Missy, I love it! and the wallpaper looks amazing! Can't wait to see what else you are going to do in this space!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs!

Your work looks great. School starts for staff tomorrow and my house looks like I just moved in because last week I started painting! Not finished yet, but am working my way around the living room. You are my inspiration, so thank you very much!! ♥♫
What a great job.
