I have been busy as a bee getting ready for fall and I want to
see what you guys have been doing too. SO link up your fall goodies or any goodies for that matter and let me see what cha' got!
:o)
I have some wonderful friends that I purchased sweet corn from
this summer and they lovingly donated some corn
stalks for foddershocks.
Gotta love free!
I decided to put them on each side of my front door.
I had them out in the yard at first, but they
were competing with my topiaries, so I just
moved the topiaries into the garage and went with the foddershocks!
Here they are...
I already had my scarecrow that's in front of the foddershock,
so more free fall decor!
Do you know where foddershocks originated?
The Amish (and farmers) used to take the leftover corn
stalks from the fields and cluster them together
in these teepee shapes for the cows to feed on. Who knows who decided they'd make cool
fall decor, but I'm glad somebody did it, cause
I Love em'!
Here's my little scarecrow....I got him
on clearance at Home Interiors...I think he was $9.00 and
my mums are from Lowes...another $9.00.
See the little pumpkin?
He is actually a foam type jack o lantern...
I just turned the face around....I've had those
things for years!
The sign on the front door also was a clearance item
from Home Interiors....something like $5.00.
I had it hanging on the door by itself, but it looked too skimpy
so I did this...
I put an apple wreath behind it...sorry the pic
is dark, I was took this one by spotlight at night!
Here are some more pics of my fall decor..
I spent $23.00 on everything!
:0)
Hope you enjoyed my day and night tour of my outside fall decor.
If you haven't started to decorate, now's the time...
fall is coming!
Yippee!!
Blessings and Hugs
