Ok, now to the fun stuff! I am so excited to show you my Easter/Spring Mantel. I started with a very blank mantel, because I hadn’t had time to do anything to it since Valentines day…it’s been very naked!
Here it is after I did some tweaking to it this week………
I replaced my big rose picture with this lovely old shabby window for Spring. There’s a story behind this window that I think is quite funny. My mom was going through a drive-thru of a local bank with my dad and looked over and saw a guy with a truck load of these windows. She rolled down her window and asked him if he was going to get rid of them…he said, “yeah, you want some”? So they pulled out and unloaded about 10 of them into my dad’s truck! (and you wonder where I get my trash to treasure fun!)
I love this little detail on all the windows…the cute little curved part on the bottom…..just so sweet!
I think the bunnies are so cute…they are like bobble heads, only their entire bodies bobble!
There are two of them. The one above is dressed in blue, and this one in green….
They have really cute details, like this cut glass mosaic accent…..
I hung a wreath decorated with eggs over the old window, on top of an antique doily trimmed in blue.
I added a couple of pink candles on my candleholders that I painted. (they used to be brass)
I also added a sparkly, pink butterfly to my candleholder…
I also added a creamware platter…..
and a cute little sign that says “Home…The Perfect Nest”
I just love how it all came together…..
I added some eggs to my topiaries that sit on the floor….
Here’s the whole thing together…………..
It just looks so Springy! ….

Good morning Missy! Your mantle is so pretty! Very festive! Your fireplace would look gorgeous naked, though...I love it! I just have a few things on mine for the holiday. I have been busy doing some Spring cleaning inside, going to funerals and dodging severe storms! I just can't seem to catch a break for getting any furniture refinishing done! Either too chilly or too damp! Maybe one of these days. Celebrating Easter with the family on Saturday....of course, bad storms predicted. Ugh! Oh well, being with family is what is important, right?
