4th of July Dessert!
We interrupt the showing of the laundry room and laundry room giveaway, to share a 4th of July recipe!
I figured I’d better hurry since the 4th is quickly approaching!
You remember the Mint Julep June Jaunt I participated in a couple of weeks ago? Well while having a fab time with all my bloggy friends, I found that fantastic trifle dish at the Goodwill we went to for $5 bucks! I brought her home and bleached it good and decided to use it for this dessert!
4th of July Red, White and Blue Berry Trifle!
You’ll need one 10 oz Angel food cake…cubed.
3 cups of cold milk
2 small boxes of instant vanilla pudding
1 quart of strawberries
1 pint of blueberries
1 8 oz container of Cool Whip.
I mixed the 3 cups of milk in a bowl with the 2 boxes of pudding and whisked for a couple of minutes. Let it stand to thicken just a bit and then fold in the cool whip.
In the bottom of your trifle dish…or any clear dish, put down a third of your cubed angel food cake, top with a third of your pudding mixture and then a third of each fruit. Repeat two more times.
I topped mine off with another dollop of the pudding mix and some berries.
SO easy and pretty to boot!
See all those pretty layers?!
YUMMO!!
Hope you enjoy!
Don’t forget to sign up for the laundry room damask knob giveaway! It’s open till July 6th, so hurry!

have a safe, fun, wonderful holiday weekend.
I knew you'd put something yummy in there! I'm sure everyone will enjoy it! Happy 4th of July!~
Looks yummy and pretty, just like your gorgeous laundry room!
Oh my gosh...that looks lovely...and I think I gained just looking at it. LOL...thanks for coming by the blog. I have been so bad lately with being busy that visiting blogs went by the way side.
That made me so hungry that I am actually planning on making it for the 4th. I have one of those trifle dishes and hardly ever use it. Thanks for reminding me. Happy Fourth to you. Gail
Missy, the dessert looks so yummy! I'm making cupcakes, but might add this to our menu. My son has started eating strawberries, so he would probably love this dessert. Thanks for sharing!
Oh Yeah... I'm sooooo gonna try this recipe!

YUM!! After we came home from Great Britain I HAD to have a truffle bowl and back in 1992 it was difficult! Now I see them even in WalMart. ♥♫
Miss Missy! I just noticed, so that I re-remembered that we have the same kitchen back splash!! Well, mine is bronze and it was in my old house but I dearly LOVED that stuff. And now, I love yours too!
