Garden Gatherings….

Thought I’d show you some goodies from my garden!

This is the first time I’ve ever grown eggplant and it’s turning out wonderful! I fixed eggplant parm for dinner the other night and it was delish!

garden goodness!

This was my first gathering of green beans…oh they were yummy! A little slab of salt bacon, some onions, seasonings and hours on the stove…mm mmm mmmm, that’s good eatin’!

my garden beans!

I swear I could make a meal just on cucumbers and tomatoes!

goodies from the garden

What’s ready in your garden?? Or if you don’t have a garden, what’s your favorite summer time veggie?

This post is making me want a salad!

Have a great week!

Nice crop! Our seedless pickles are coming in fast and furious and when neighbors see me coming with 16 inch cucumbers they don't know whether to hold out their arms or run! They look like weapons! lol I have only had one tomato so far but a couple of zuchinni and a couple yellow squash. I love the veggies on the grill! Yum!~Hugs, Patti

I,too, am envious of your garden. We use to have a garden but can't anymore because of fire ants. There isn't anything better than home grown vegies!!! Eat some for me.

Yum!

I grew up "helping" my grandparents in their garden. I love the taste of fresh peas pulled from the plant and split open right into my mouth, and a turnip pulled straight from the ground, rinsed with the hose, and sprinkled with a little salt from the container my grandpa always had in his shirt pocket. I wish I had enough of a green thumb to grow a veggie garden, but I manage to kill anything I try to grow!

What a bountiful harvest, and it all looks so happy. I just want to grab one of those green beans and crunch away.

Your harvest so far looks wonderful. I don't have a vegetable garden, but do have some tomato plants and have started to pick some zucchini. It's very satisfying! :) Your blog is lovely.

Yummy goodies from God's bountiful harvest!!! Doesn't He take such good care of us??? Since I can't grow anything, I've been doing U Pick 'Em at farms. So far, blueberries, peaches and blackberries. Canning and freezing most! Also got lots of local veggies, making veggie soup to freeze. Loooooooove summer. HUGS!

Your veggies look beautiful Missy. We plan on having a garden next year. It'll be something fun for us to do together. I love fried squash! I don't cook it too much because I can't stop eating it while I'm cooking it. lol Eggplant too. Love it!

Thanks for stopping by with the sweet comments. I haven't posted anymore posts yet. Been so busy with our wedding and all. I'll be doing a post soon. :)

Hugs,
Lee Laurie
